It's that time of year again. The snow has started falling and everyone is busy rushing about buying last minute gifts...

On another note, it's getting cold here but Wintereenmas is yet to start.
A mate asked me for help setting up a website for them and I recommended a new CMS I was thinking of running, almost prophetically I pointed out at the time that I hadn’t updated the CMS software this site used as a backend for about 2 years and that it's only a matter of time until it got hacked, then two weeks later I saw a random bot had been inserting all manner to crap into the SQL database and taking control of the old legacy CSS/SSI pages I had from the previous non php website.
Still it did force me to upgrade and now we’re back online and in true great form after contacting Google they reran their risk assessments on the site and unclassified it as ‘malware distributing’ within 12 hours. Can’t ask for better service.

Anyway what have I been up to? I guess the first thing that comes to mind is I've got a new job. I finally left the Co-op as my department was getting rid of all contractors. They offered us all permanent jobs within the team (on less money / possibility of 24 hour work / etc) however I felt it a good time to leave.
I admit with the credit crunch in full swing at that time I did feel slight intrepidation, however 3 days later I was offered an interview for a job just a few miles from my house and was employed again.
